Our client is an expert in water treatment and chemical distribution in Australia and New Zealand, with a growing presence in the US and South East Asia. They operate across a diverse range of markets from agriculture and building and construction, to food and beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, plastics, pulp and paper, and water treatment.

Summary

This role is responsible for delivering across the client basis through driving product and service delivery. Owning, managing and maintaining relationships with customers, this role will seek to understand customer needs to achieve growth targets and to pursue and secure new business

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will ideally display the following qualifications, skills and experience: 
  • Connects with clients by demonstrating an in-depth understanding their business needs/goals and presents the best solutions maximising customer value
  • Identifies customer needs and pain points and offers solutions to best meet the customer's requirements
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers to ensure long-term success
  • Stays up-to-date with internal and external developments and recommend new ways to increase sales
  • Generates proposals and contracts
  • Facilitates all related meetings internally and externally
  • Keeps current on changing regulations and industry trends
  • Maintains deep, positive, long-term relationships with clients that result in referrals and continued growth in the business relationship
  • Attends and participates in industry events
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding pipeline revenue, forecasted revenue, and sales cycle revenue management that meets those responsibilities accurately/on deadline
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding and management of data through CRM
About you:

Proven ability to grow a sales territory and deliver substantial new business growth within an existing customer base, through competitor conversion and by identifying new applications.

Additional experience required:
  • Contract management: bid preparation, contract negotiation, contract performance management
  • Tertiary qualifications in chemistry/engineering/water treatment or a related technical discipline highly desirable but not essential.
  • Growth mentality with a customer oriented mentality
  • Comfortable in presenting to senior stakeholder across face to face, phone and videoconferencing software
